What a difference a week makes – sunshine, no wind and a record number of riders for this year. It felt like an almost perfect evening except for the ongoing roadworks which meant that we had to use the P Course. Describing the P Course to riders with its “left at the right before the motorway bridge” always makes me think of the nonsense ryhm:
One fine day, in the middle of night
Two dead men, got up to fight
Back to back, they faced each other
Drew their swords and shot each other
As rider confusion till they see the map reigns supreme and I believe one rider did manage to go up onto the motorway bridge despite this. Thanks as always to the officials, Sue as finish timekeeper, Paul Freegard on start, Tony Weare pushing off and Mike Edwards, Fiona and Maddy marshalling.
Congratulations to Phillipa on her first 10 mile time trial and a Personal Best. It would appear that Robbie and Jamie thought it was a 2 up this week, rather than last tying for times and Simon’s cycling holiday seems to have paid off. Also nice to Andy making his first time trial of the year as a competitor rather than helper.
